ABOUT Me

Hi! I'm Leina! I'm a fourth-year Interior Design student at Algonquin College, and I love creating spaces that not only look good, but are thoughtful, functional, and designed with the user in mind.

Growing up, I wasn't always playing pretend house. I also spent time helping dismantle and rebuild heritage log buildings alongside my family. Being surrounded by sawdust, tools, and skilled woodworkers taught me the value of craftsmanship and sparked my appreciation for giving old spaces a second life. These experiences shaped how I design today: with intention, respect for history, and an eye toward the future.

What do I love most about interior design? Getting to know the user... understanding how they live, move through a space, and figuring out what actually matters to them. If that means turning their home into a mini zoo, I'm all for figuring out how to make it work.

When I'm not in design mode, you'll find me planning my next trip (Costa Rica, France and New York City have my heart), practicing yoga or pilates, or hanging out with family, friends, and my dog (Delia of course)!
